HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!

YAY!!! it's finally Friday!!

First off, I am super pumped because in less than 6 hours............I'M LEAVING FOR THE BEACH!! I have a friend that is down there right now and says that it is beautiful and no oil!!!!

Brandon and I were both sick earlier this week so I haven't had much time to blog! UCK! It was horrible!! Not only was I up at 4 am with a fever but our power goes off for 2 hours!!!! I was not a happy camper! Harley didn't quite no what to think either!!
Haha...she didn't understand why the power was off and why we were awake at 4 in the morn!! so she stood at the edge of the bed just looking at us! I took a pic and it was REALLY bright...that's why she looks like this :)

Even though it was a sucky day, there was a beautiful bright rainbow in our back yard that afternoon!!

I hope everyone has a great weekend! I'll be back to blog about the girls beach trip on Thursday!!! :)

Sprinkler 2 - Brandon 0 !!

We had a great weekend!! I got to hang out with one of my good friends Danielle Friday!! I also got to see a few other friends from school as well!! It was so good to see Danielle again...we laughed so hard and so much!!! She and I along with Tabetha, Leah, Katie, and Allison are all going to the beach this coming weekend!! We are leaving Friday night and not coming back until Wednesday! I am so excited to spend some time with the great girls!! I feel like we really haven't go to have some serious fun since we all went to the beach last year for my bachelorette trip...and Thanks to Katie, it's all possible!!!

The girls from last year!! Can't wait!! :)

Danielle and I decided to remind the girls that we only had 7 days left, so we sent them a pic msg! now we only have 3 days!!! **YIPEEEEE**

Saturday, Brandon got up and cooked some delicious breakfast! We had grits, biscuits, and scrambled eggs. I did have to come in and cook the eggs...he said "I don't think I've ever made scrambled eggs before" so I showed him how it was done ;).

We got ready and went to AC for our nephew, Jace's 3rd birthday party!! It was a pool party and boy am I glad because it was HOT HOT HOT!!! We got to enjoy the pool some before the thunderstorms rolled in. Jace Really didn't want to get in the water, but we finally convinced him and he stayed attached to either Brandon or me the whole time!! He'd say "swim me to the wadder" haha he's too cute!!

*The Birthday Boy*

Brody enjoying his little pool!!

Landon swimming in the pool!!

Of course a birthday isn't complete without going to Carlos and wearing the sombrero!!

Saturday night, we went to my parent's house to eat with Deddy for father's day and to give him his present!! Hanna and I never know what to give him beside socks and underwear but this year we (mom) had a great gift in mind!! He likes to wear these headphone radio things when he cuts the grass and the pair he has now are about worn out...so we ordered him a new pair. Why didn't we just get him an MP3 or an IPOD you ask? Well, this is just what he's used to and it would just be A LOT easier!! All he wants is to listen to the radio! Regardless, he was happy about his gift and was actually surprised this year and didn't guess it!! Hanna just also bought a Wii so Brandon and I stayed a while and played Wii with the fam! Most of the pics I got were butt shots, and I think mama would kill me if I put them on here so I'll pass on that :) I did get a few pics of Hanna's pup Major! He's so stinking cute! She named him Major because she is a Majorette for BRHS! She is a senior so this will be her last year :( boo!

Hanna and Major!!

Deddy enjoying his Father's Day gift!

Sunday, we went to church and had lunch with his parents for Father's Day. We had a yummy yummy lunch!! Afterwards I had a GREAT nap!! It was much needed!!

OH! and Just a little FYI...Brandon attempted the sprinkler again yesterday and it was another win for the sprinkler!! haha

Hahaha!!

Feeling Froggy!!

Nothing special really happened yesterday. I did however, have to go to the bank after work and I HATE going to the Wachovia here in Auburn!! It's always sooooooo crowded and takes for ever!! Not to mention that I don't get off until 4:45 and it closes at 5:00! Yesterday was a different story though...I pull into the bank and all four lanes where open and on top of that, there was only one car there!! I pull up to the window and the teller is *super duper* nice (never happens). She even completes my transaction in a timely manner and as I'm grabbing my receipt, to my amazement, I GET A SUCKER!!!!!!! I was so excited!! I thought only kids got those and I didn't even know they still did that!!! :D It was the best bank day ever!

Now lucky for Harley, I don't like green suckers *YUCK*...but I'm not going to complain because I really enjoyed watching her eat it!!! Here are a few pics of her enjoying prize from the bank!!

She was kind of unsure about it to begin with...but she eventually gobbled it up!

HAHA! This one cracks me up because she's like "It's all gone Mom!" (and she looks cross eyed!)

So we had spaghetti for dinner...not my choice but Brandon really likes it so that's what we had (even though "it's not as good as sissy's spaghetti" so he says). After dinner, we just sat around watching some TV, local channels might I add...we have been having issues getting locals but we finally got them :) YAY! Harley decided she had to go outside...As I step out my back door, I quickly draw my foot back!!! There were 2 fairly good sized frogs! I usually see one out on the patio every now and then but there were 2 this time. I really don't like frogs but I don't mind them too much...I always wonder where they go during the day...do they live in the ground? Anyway, I decide to get a little brave and I get down on their level and try to get a few pics ...EEEK! I was a little nervous but I was able to get a few pics! We also have those little red/brown beetles too...you know those kind that like to fly into your hair and they are REALLY hard to get out, I HATE THOSE! So here I am flat on my stomach with the camera inches from this frog and a beetle lands on the cement...that frog took off toward it! I freak out and try to get up fast with out either getting on me!!! I soon realized what the frogs are there for! He hopped over there and stretched that tongue out and ate that beetle!!!!! I was so surprised!! I am now grateful that we have frogs because I would much rather have those than those dang beetles ANY DAY!

This is the pic that I was trying to get as he hopped towards my face trying to catch the beetle!!

The 2 of them! I think I might name them!! :)

Also, my nephew Brody had to have a CT scan done today because they thought his brain wasn't draining correctly. Luckily, everything turned out OK! He's just got a noggin' full of knowledge!! :) Here he is below!

Milkshake Monday

Okay, I will admit that I like to spend money…. but I love to SAVE money!! I am a huge bargain shopper! I think it kind of annoys Brandon because I'll take forever trying to pick out which box of spaghetti noodles I want to buy. Anyway, he and I did our grocery shopping yesterday after work....we have started shopping at Kroger since we moved to Opelika! I love Kroger!! Yesterday, I got on their website and they are having a summer sweepstakes give away. Usually I’m weary of sweeps because it eventually floods my inbox with junk mail, but I went ahead and tried it out. All you have to do is go on to http://www.kroger.com/ and you’ll see the ad there for the sweeps. Sign in and you’ll get a chance to spin the wheel. Well here I am sitting here at my desk at work and the wheel is spinning around and it stops….another screen pops up and tells me that I’m a WINNER!! I about jump out of my seat at work!! Turns out that I won a free Smart Balance Product…I was so proud hehe!! So if you win something Kroger automatically loads it to your Kroger card. Needless to say, I got a FREE tub of Smart Balance Butter, a $3.00 value…talk about being excited! On top of my FREE tub of butter, we saved $20.00 yesterday at Kroger!! I told Brandon that I feel like it’s a game and I win every time I come out of there....he of course looked at me like I was dumb and said “it doesn’t take much to excite you does it” :)

So we get home and Harley is going crazy running around the house because she’s gotta go OUT! I love when I come home and she’s soooo excited to see me! As I'm putting the groceries up, B decides that he is going to hook up our new sprinkler and water the yard; I think it's safe to say that the sprinkler won that match!! Haha! He came in soaked...it was funny to see him dodging that thing.

While we were at the grocery store, I had a hunkering for some ice cream in a CONE. After dinner, I proceeded to make me an ice cream cone (without an ice cream scooper..that's kinda hard!) and Brandon informs me that he think he's gonna make a "homemade peanut butter milkshake" ( I got a nervous at this point). It was so funny because he starts the whole thing out by narrating the process to Harley. "Harley, first we need to blow the dust off of the blender. Next, we are going to need: one gallon of milk, some ice cubes (this is where he went wrong), some vividly vanilla ice cream, and finally some peanut butter". He goes on and on and finally gets the ingredients into the blender and says "now Harley, do we want to puree or liquify this milkshake?"...I think he chose to puree it first and then he liquified it lol. In the mean time, I call his mom to see what a successful milkshake should have in it...she informed me that it doesn't need ice and we should probably add some vanilla flavoring in it. So here comes the big moment, he's pouring up the milkshake and goes to take a BIG gulp of it..............................he says "mmm : mmm, it's good".. I could tell that it wasn't good. He of course offered me some and I tasted it...I piratically had to chew all of the peanut butter that was in there!!! haha and then I noticed that there were little black specks floating around in there, he informed me that he added some of the cookie dough ice cream as well to try to help the taste! So that was our first attempt at homemade milkshakes, I just hope next time we are a little more successful and I think it's safe to say that B won't be working at Sonic anytime soon!!

That was pretty much our Monday, i'll leave you with a picture of Harley doing what she does best!

Newbie

Hello all! After reading several of my friend's blogs, I have decided to start one of my own! I'm not sure that I fully understand all of the minor details right now but hopefully It will all grow on me soon.

To catch everyone up on what Brandon and I have been up to lately...We got married last year on July 18, 2009!! I cannot believe that we have almost been married for ONE whole year!! I am so excited!! I booked our anniversary trip last week, we are going to Savannah, Ga and I am beyond excited. I have always wanted to go there because it is so beautiful and charming. If anyone has ever been there and has any suggestions on what all there is to do there, feel free to fill me in!! Brandon and I have one 4-legged kiddo, Harley...she is the love of our lives!! So unlike others who post fun pics of their children, I will probably be posting pics of her!! She has the personality of a human but that's partly because she's 90% human and 10% dog!! Brandon and I just recently bought our FIRST home in Opelika. We really love it there...we are far away from the Auburn craziness but still close enough to everything!! We have really enjoyed having our "own" yard to play in and rooms to decorate!! Harley really likes it too, she has tons of room to run (not that she does)...most of the time she'll just go out and roll around in the yard.

This is the new Hutto residence!
The grass is green now so it looks so much better!!

Harley enjoying her new yard!
(she's not very lady-like sometimes)

We had a very fun and relaxing weekend. Friday we went to the Jazz Fest and boy was it H O T !
I think that it was one of the first Jazz Fests that it has not rained in a LONNNNG time, but the humidity made up for it! We went to dinner with some friends and then headed on down town, we really had a great time talking with friends and family that we have not seen in a while!

Saturday, I went to a baby shower for Sasha, a high school friend of mine. She is having a boy in the end of July! I am so happy for her she really looked great. The baby shower was fun because I got to be with some friends that I had not seen in a while. Afterwards, Brandon, Hanna (my sister) and I went to look for my dad a Father's Day gift...we were unsuccessful. We decided to go to dinner at Jake's, the new place downtown in Alex City. My dinner was okay..... : but Brandon and Hanna really enjoyed theirs. Later, we went to Mandy and Coy's new house!! They just got a house together and it is so cute, I can't wait until Mandy get's all of her wedding presents in there...i'm sure she's going to have it cutely decorated! The boys played Wii and Mandy and I talked wedding stuff. We did jump in on the Wii action and played a little Mario Bro's Winter Olympics. I can admit that I did blow everyone out of the water on the figure skating ;)

Sunday, we were really low key and didn't do much. After lunch, I went to my parent's house and helped my mom clean out some of my old stuff from my old room. I actually found some stuff that I had been saving "for our new house!!" ...it was kind of excited I felt like I went shopping without spending any money!! Brandon stayed at his parents house and helped his dad with some handy work. We left Alex City after a great weekend and came on back to the Hutto house!! You know, I love the feeling that I get every time we pull into the drive way at our new house!! I still get very excited! Walking in and the smells of us makes me so happy!! I did a little cleaning and organizing (to make room for all of the new stuff I brought home :) )

Well, that kinda sums up our weekend!! Here are a few pics of our weekend!! Enjoy!

She was sleeping so peacefully on the way to Alex City friday...I tried to get a pic of her but she caught me and gave me that "pleaseeee mom" look
